taste: The batter was crispy and not soggy from the oil. The calamari meat was tender and not rubbery, and the sauce was sweet and not too sour or spicy. The seasoning was just right - not too salty.
thoughts: This was definitely the best calamari I've had so far! I really liked the batter. It reminded me of panko crumbs. Even though this dish is deep fried, it had a nice light taste almost like eating potato chips - almost! I surely recommend this appetizer if ever you pop in to eat at Sushi Rock. so yummy!
